Our Key Stage 2 children had a fantastic day at the Eden Project, where they explored the incredible biomes and discovered plants from around the world. As they walked through the Rainforest and Mediterranean Biomes, they learnt about different climates, habitats, and the importance of protecting our environment. The visit also included an engaging workshop, where the children took part in hands-on activities that deepened their understanding of the natural world. It was a fun, inspiring, and educational experience that brought their classroom learning to life.
Our pupils recently took part in the Sideshore Project, an exciting learning experience focused on our coastline, marine environment, and the importance of protecting our oceans. Through a range of interactive activities, the children explored coastal habitats, learnt about the impact of human activity on marine life, and discovered how small actions can make a big difference in caring for our environment. The project encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation of the natural world, inspiring our pupils to become responsible stewards of our local coastline.
As part of the Swim to the Sea programme, our pupils enjoyed a fantastic opportunity to develop their confidence and water safety skills in an open water environment. Building on their swimming lessons, the children learnt about staying safe in and around the sea while experiencing the excitement of swimming in a natural setting. The programme helped to build resilience, confidence, and a greater appreciation of our local coastline, creating memorable experiences that will support safe enjoyment of the water for years to come.
Chestnut Class showed fantastic perseverance, determination, and strength throughout their session at Clip 'n Climb. They challenged themselves with confidence, encouraged one another, and demonstrated excellent behaviour from start to finish. It has been wonderful to see their resilience and positive attitudes as they tackled each climbing challenge. They should all be incredibly proud of their achievements today! We are so lucky to be able to do activities like this with our children!
Our Year 6 pupils had an incredible day at Haven Banks Outdoor Education Centre, challenging themselves, supporting one another and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
From tackling exciting activities to stepping outside their comfort zones, the children demonstrated fantastic resilience, teamwork and determination throughout the day. We were so proud to see them encouraging each other, celebrating successes and embodying our school values of Aspiration, Belonging and Compassion.
A huge well done to all of our Year 6 children for their positive attitudes and enthusiasm, and thank you to the staff at Haven Banks for providing such a brilliant experience.
