Our Key Stage 2 children had a fantastic day at the Eden Project, where they explored the incredible biomes and discovered plants from around the world. As they walked through the Rainforest and Mediterranean Biomes, they learnt about different climates, habitats, and the importance of protecting our environment. The visit also included an engaging workshop, where the children took part in hands-on activities that deepened their understanding of the natural world. It was a fun, inspiring, and educational experience that brought their classroom learning to life.
Our pupils recently took part in the Sideshore Project, an exciting learning experience focused on our coastline, marine environment, and the importance of protecting our oceans. Through a range of interactive activities, the children explored coastal habitats, learnt about the impact of human activity on marine life, and discovered how small actions can make a big difference in caring for our environment. The project encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation of the natural world, inspiring our pupils to become responsible stewards of our local coastline.
As part of the Swim to the Sea programme, our pupils enjoyed a fantastic opportunity to develop their confidence and water safety skills in an open water environment. Building on their swimming lessons, the children learnt about staying safe in and around the sea while experiencing the excitement of swimming in a natural setting. The programme helped to build resilience, confidence, and a greater appreciation of our local coastline, creating memorable experiences that will support safe enjoyment of the water for years to come.
