At Littleham CE Primary School, our vision of “Greatness grows from small beginnings” sits beautifully alongside the vision of our Trust, the Link Academy Trust: “Flourishing schools for all at the heart of our communities. Life in all its fullness.”
Both visions share a belief that every child is uniquely valued, capable of growth and deserving of opportunity. At Littleham, we believe that greatness does not happen all at once. It develops through small steps, positive relationships, new experiences, perseverance and the encouragement of others.
Our three school values of Aspiration, Belonging and Compassion help bring this vision to life.
Aspiration connects strongly with the Trust's value of Curiosity. We want our children to be curious about the world, excited by learning and ambitious for themselves. We encourage children to ask questions, try new things, discover their talents and believe in what they can achieve.
Belonging is shared directly with the Trust and is at the heart of both our visions. We want every child to know that they are an important part of our school community. We nurture positive relationships so that children feel seen, included, valued and supported, knowing that they belong and that they can flourish.
Compassion links closely with the Trust's emphasis on Collaboration. We believe that greatness grows when we work together and care for one another. Children are encouraged to listen, cooperate, celebrate each other's successes and notice when someone needs support. We want them to understand that their own success is even more meaningful when they help others to flourish too.
Together, our school and Trust values create a shared commitment to helping every child experience “life in all its fullness.” We want our children to leave Littleham with a love of learning, a belief in themselves, strong relationships and the compassion to make a positive difference to the lives of others.
At Littleham, we grow greatness together — one small beginning at a time.
